Every year Ocean Shores is host to a youth fishing derby which provides fun for kids ages 17 and under.

On shore there will be a stocked fishing pond. Kids 5 years and up may choose to fish from boats in the lake accompanied by only 1 parent due to limited space on the boats.

Prizes will be awarded for the longest fish caught in various age groups.
